Prairienet Email and Dialup Services Discontinued as of 12/31/08
We strongly recommend
that you complete your move by Friday, December 19th. The University
of
Illinois is effectively closed between Christmas and New Year and we will
not be able to guarantee that staff will be available over the holidays to
handle support requests.
Please see our updated FAQ for answers to common
questions.
As of 12/31/08, the following services provided by Prairienet will be
discontinued:
- Email
- Mailing lists (listservs)
- Modem dialup service (dialup Internet access)
Organizational Web hosting (a.k.a. Information Provider) accounts, which
provide space and support for organizational websites, will continue but
will no longer offer email services.
